Art activity : Mathilda and Emma are drawing Moors

Saint Lunaire - Saint Briac

Friday the 20th April, our classes of 4 ème and 5 ème OIB went to Saint Lunaire and saint Briac where there are Moors during the whole day.

We saw beautiful seascapes !

The goal was to help us to connect with the landscape (especially with the Moors ), to observe, to express our feeling with art (like drawing) and learn things about plants...

During this day, we were divided into different groups with different activities with Vincent and Laeticia.

On the morning we draw a landscape or took picture of it and walked on the costs.

Vincent is from saint Lunaire and he explained to us the origin of Saint Lunaire, some things about the dyke and the plants there. : before, there was no dyke and no plants in the sand could grow. Hopefully, plants could grow some years ago because the city decided to protect the dune.

He explained why we have to protect the beach because some small animals can save the humans in the future.

With Leaticia, we did an orientation game with zones and plants to found.

She gave us a map and an aerial view of the Pointe de la Garde Guérin, then a sheet with various plants which we can find in moors so that one could go to find them for our herbarium. It was difficult to find names of all plants : you'll see it observing our herbariums !

We walked in moors . They were full of different plant : gorse, blackberry bushes, ferns, ash heather and other varieties.

We have a lot of walking  to look at a beautifl landscape and we saw the sea down there.

We ate our lunch on the beach. When we finished our lunch, we played games like beach soccer.

We also had time to express our views and feelings about moors : When we climbed, we looked at the landscape and we drew them on papers with pastelers., or took pictures of them.

We really had a fun, interesting day. This moors' landscape inspired our future exhibition on Moors.
