Where are the Moorlands in the world?
Moors are gorgeous landscapes with a really high amount biodiversity. Unfortunately, they are less present on earth than in the past. Indeed, we have gone from having 30 percent of moors covering the Earth to 15 percent ! Those 15 percent are spread around the world (England, Africa and South America), and the U.K is home to an estimated 10-15 percent, most are located to the North and West.

Where are Moorlands in Brittany?
Breton moorland may look like wilderness, but it is actually a man-made and highly managed landscape.
In Brittany there are moorlands in Ille et Vilaine, Morbihan, Finistère, Côtes d’Armor and Loire Atlantique.
There are two different types of moors : those in countrysides and those on the coasts. We have visited both types and there were very clear differences. There were different plants on the coast compared to those in the country side .
